I'm guessing its sorted by now but the fuel filter is on the drivers side of the engine block under a metal cover. Remove cover. Disconnect fuel lines and return line. Remove 4xTorq screws holding top of filter housing. Gently pry up top of housing (there is a little recess to get a screw driver in on each side).

I had a Mondeo that used to leak into passenger footwell, mine was an M reg, so a bit older, but it may be the same problem.
