best work around keep the file window open -> change the name to mafia3.exe -> keep file window open, and open nvidia exp. and scan for mafia 3 then optimize it -> go back to file window and rename it Mafia3DefinitiveEdition.exe or click ctrl z as long as you didn't close it and boom game launches and its optimized. It is indeed the same engine as Mafia III, which I believe is still a upgraded variant of the LS3D engine the OG Mafias were using. And basically the recommended specs on the Mafia III page were for 1080p/30. They never changed, even though the game got unlocked after a massive outcry of the 'cinematic 30FPS' haters :D
